1. WHAT IS THE BIOMEDIC LHA-PEEL PROGRAM

The BIOMEDIC LHA-PEEL Program by La Roche-Posay offers professional aesthetic correction solutions to give skin radiance, reduce wrinkles, correct irregular complexion and brown spots.

2. WHAT DOES THIS PROGRAM CONSIST OF?

A period of preparation of the skin at home thanks to a pro and pre-peel routine. pro-desquamante pre-peeling.
Cleansing: BIOMEDIC Pro-desquamating LHA^™ Cleansing Gel or BIOMEDIC Pro-desquamating Pre-Peel LHA^™ Solution.
Skin care: BIOMEDIC Pro-desquamating LHA^™ Serum.
Using these products 15 days before the first peel and in between the following peels enables preparing the skin for the in-office aesthetic procedure.

A procedure carried out in the dermatologist’s office (duration : 10 -15 minutes: application onto the skin of the LHA-PEEL solution, 5% or 10% of LHA^™ concentrated solution according to skin type. This stage constitutes the actual correction as such. It rids the skin of dead cells and boosts cell renewal. BIOMEDIC LHA-PEEL is for dermatologists use only.

During the 15 days following each peel session, exposure to the sun should be avoided and skin should be protected with a UVA/UVB sunscreen with a high SPF. The preparation program at home should be carried out again, three days after each peel session.

3. WHAT ARE THE POST-PEEL EFFECTS?

The effects that have been notified are as follows :
>Irritation, redness, stinging. The sensation is comparable with what is felt after getting a touch of sunburn.
> Two to three days after the peel the skin peels slightly.

4. HOW LONG DO THE RESULTS OF THE PEEL LAST?

That depends on the skin type, but also on well preparing the skin and using the appropriate relay products (in addition to a sunscreen care and corrective cosmetic products).
Upkeep treatments are recommended to optimise the effect of the peel (Back-up peel once a year).

5. WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS PROGRAM?

Any adult with a dull or uneven complexion or irregular skin relief or texture.

In some cases a delay will be necessary before going ahead with the peel. It is always vital to make sure that your patient is not undergoing any local or oral treatment.

As a matter of precaution it is not recommended to use Biomedic LHA-PEEL on pregnant women.

6. IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A CHEMICAL PEEF ON CONSULTING A DERMATOLOGIST FOR THE FIRST TIME?

A preliminary consultation is essential. During this first visit you will assess your patient skin type and discuss with him a personalized programme according to his reactivity, any history of allergies and the different local or oral treatments he is following. 15 days after this preliminary consultation, the first peel session can be carried out.

7. HOW MUCH DOES A PEEL SESSION COST?

The cost of a session varies according to the protocol used by the dermatologist. Ask for a quote.

8. HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE THERE IN A COMPLETE PEEL PROCEDURE?

4 sessions spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart are recommended. Up to 6 sessions if necessary.

9. WHY AND HOW DO YOU PREPARE AND PROLONG THE EFFECTS OF THE PROCEDURE AT HOME?

Pre-peel care :

Used morning and evening, BIOMEDIC LHA™ Cleansing Gel or Pre-Peel LHA™ Solution cleans the skin in-depth. It prepares the skin by ridding it of dead cells and refining the epidermis. Used morning and evening the LHA™ Serum reinforces the pro-desquamating activity. This routine will prepare the skin and enable better absorption of the active ingredients of the peel.

Post-peel care :

> During the 15 following days following the peel session exposure to the sun should be avoided, and a UVA/UVB sunscreen care with a high SPF should be used for secure and effective protection.
> Apply daily HYDRA-RECOVERY and PRO-MAXIMIZER to enhance results from peel.

10. WHY USE SPECIALISED COSMETIC PRODUCTS?

To optimise the benefits of corrective aesthetic procedures it is essential to use specific post-procedure products. These products guarantee to prolong the procedure efficacy and help the skin recover better in the most optimum conditions.
